1. What is Kids Run Fun Fest?
The Kids Run Fun Fest is where all registered participants collect their race entry pack. The race entry pack consists of the race bib (number tag) for the child, his/her event t-shirt, the tag for the participant’s parent for identification on the event day and sponsors’ goodies.
On top of that, expect a day of fun, games and activities at the Kids Run Fun Fest!
2. When and where is the Kids Run Fun Fest?
- Venue: Suntec City Convention & Exhibition Centre
- Date: Saturday and Sunday, 30 April & 1 May 2016
- Time: 11.00 am – 8.00 pm
3. What do I need to present in order to collect the race pack?
The confirmation slip & NRIC/Passport of the participant have to be presented during the entry pack collection at the Kids Run Fun Fest. Confirmation slip can be presented via an electronic device; you do not need to print the confirmation slip.
4. What if I am unable to collect my child’s race pack during the Kids Run Fun Fest?
Parents who are unable to collect the race packs at the Kids Run Fun Fest may appoint a representative to collect on their behalf. All representatives are required to produce the following documentation:
- Letter of Authorisation (LOA)
- A photocopy of either NRIC/Passport of the participant
5. I realised that I have missing/faulty items in my race pack after leaving the race pack collection counter. Can I return to the counter to request for an exchange of faulty items or a top-up of missing items?
All runners and representatives should check their race packs before leaving the collection counter. In the event of any discrepancy, please notify the counter staff immediately.
GENERAL Information about Kidsrun
1. What is the Cold Storage Kids Run 2016 about?
Cold Storage Kids Run is an annual running event that aims to encourage the young ones to Eat Healthy and Get Active trough running and the right preparation for the run. 2016 marks the 9th year the event has been organised by ESG, a leading homegrown sports marketing firm.
2. When is the Cold Storage Kids Run event happening?
The Cold Storage Kids Run will be held on Sunday, 22 May 2016 at The Meadow, Gardens By the Bay from 7.00am to 12.00pm.
3. When will the public registration commence?
Public registration will start online from Saturday, 5 March 2016 and close on Thursday, 31 March 2016, 11:59pm or when 5000 slots have been filled up, whichever comes earlier.
4. What is the 3Gen Family Run Category?
This category encourages 3 generations in a family to form a team and participate in the event together. Each team consists of one child, one parent and one grandparent.
5. What is the All Dressed Up Family Fun?
The All Dressed Uo Family Fun category will see a team of a parent and kid between 2 and 12 years old to run a distance of 800m together in their favorite costume.
Event Timing
1. What if I misplaced my child’s timing chip?
A replacement for a timing chip is subject to an administrative fee of S$30. Please call our hotline: 9001 7225 before Friday, 8 May 2015 to inform us for a replacement. A spare bib together with a timing chip will be given on the Race Day at the information booth.
2. What happens if I lose, misplace or forget to bring my child’s timing device to the race? Can my child still run in the race?
Runners may still participate in the race if they have lost, misplaced or forget to bring their timing devices. However, their race timings will not be recorded and will not be eligible for any prize. Please note that runners MUST have their race bibs to enter the race route.
3. Do I need to return the timing device after completing my race?
The timing chips are disposable. You do not need to return them to the organisers.
4. What is the correct way of attaching the Timing Chip on my child’s shoe?
The chip should be attached to the shoelace or attached to the shoe with an ankle strap. Loop a single lace through the square holes of the ChampionChip and pull it tightly to the shoe. The best position to tie the ChampionChip is the lowest part of the shoelace, as close as possible to your toes.
5. Why is my child’s timing not on the website?
The ChampionChip has the advantage of recording fast and accurate timing results for participants. In the event that your child’s timing was not recorded, this could be due to following reasons:
- Chip was not attached to the shoe laces
- Chip was wrongly attached
- Chip was not worn during the race
- Missed check points on timing mats
RACE DAY
1. Where is the start and finishing point?
The start and finish point is at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay.
2. What time does each race category start?
The exact race-day reporting times will be stated on your race bibs, that you will receive during Race Pack Collection on 30 April and 1 May.
3. Will a briefing be conducted for the children and/or parent before the race?
There will be announcements at the waiting area next to the Start Point to inform participants to line up at the Start Line prior to their category flag-off. The emcee will provide any additional instructions or information to the participants before the start of the race.

5. If my child misses the flag-off time for his/her race category, can he/she join another race category instead?
Should your child miss his/her flag-off time, he/she may be allowed to join another race category at the sole discretion of the Event Organiser. Participants will not qualify for any awards if they do not run in the category that they have registered for.
6. If my child registered for the 1.6km race but only managed to finish 800m on race day, can he/she still get the Finisher’s Medal and Finisher’s Certificate with chip timing?
Unfortunately, participants who do not complete their race will not be issued the Finisher’s medal and Finisher’s Certificate.
7. What is the purpose of the race bib and why must my child wear it?
The race bib acts as a passport for runners to take part in the race. The child’s emergency contact details are on the reverse side of their race bibs in case of an emergency. Runners who do not wear their race bibs will not be allowed to participate in the race and they will not receive the Finishers’ Medal or Certificate.
8. What if my child or personal belongings get lost?
Please approach any event official to report the loss. We will notify the volunteers and emcees to make an announcement when required.
9. What happens if it rains?
In the event of bad weather, the Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the race, shorten the race or modify the course. However, should bad weather persist, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the race without any refund of the registration fee and the event will not be rescheduled to another day.
10. Will there be a medical team on the event day?
Yes. There will be at least 3 medical posts situated at key locations along the race route and 1 main medical centre located at the event site.
11. Will water be provided for the participants?
Yes. There will a drink station located at the event site. Bottled water will also be distributed to all participant at the Athletes Welfare Area (AWA) after they finished the race. In addition, medical posts located along the route are also equipped with bottled water.
12. What will the race course at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay be like?
The running route at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay is primarily on its designated tarmac paths and will not include any public road. The route also provides plenty of rest points and photo positions of the surroundings without posing any danger to the other runners.
13. Where do I check to see if my child is one of the top 3 finisher of his/her category?
Race results are available at the information booth during event day. The emcee will be making announcements once the results are available. The parents of the winner will also be contacted via the contact number provided during registration.
14. How do I make an appeal on the results?
Appeal against the results must be made within 15 mins at the information counter after the results are posted at the Information Booth. An appeal fee of $50 is applicable and an appeal form will have to be completed.
The appeal will be reviewed within 30 mins after it has been lodged. In the event that the appeal is successful, the appeal fee of $50 will be refunded.
15. When will my child receive his/her Finisher’s Certificate?
For non-competitive categories, participants will receive their finisher certificate immediately after their race.
For competitive categories, participant’s certificate will be mailed to the address provided during the registration process. Any certificate mailed to an incomplete or wrong address will be deemed as delivered and will not be eligible for a reprint or redelivery.
16. My child who was in the competitive category did not receive a finisher certificate after the race. Where can I collect his certificate?

17. Will there be a baggage deposit on the event site?
There will be no baggage counter at the race site. Please keep all baggage & valuables with you.
18. Where can I find my child’s timing result after the race?
All timing results will be uploaded on the Cold Storage Kids Run website within 24 hours.

Running Clinic (Parent + Child) – $10 (per Parent & Child per session)
Learn the proper techniques to running together with your child from the training professionals at Radiance PhysioFit.
Improper running form leads to avoidable injuries. Bring your kid down to our Running Clinic at Radiance PhysioFit to learn proper postures and techniques in running, while having a good time together!
Race Reporting Time
Participants are advised to be at The Meadow at least 30 mins before the reporting time. The timing stated above may be subject to change.
* All times are subject to changes. Should there be any change, the flag off time will be delayed and not brought forward to an earlier time slot.
THINGS TO NOTE:
1. Race bibs provided must be pinned to the front of your child’s running tee at all times during the race. Any runner without a race bib will NOT be allowed to take part in the race.
2. Participants in the SPRINT categories, please secure the single-use Champion Chip to your child’s shoes before the start of the race to have their race times recorded.
3. Participants taking part in the Stroller Family Fun category, please ensure your strollers are in good condition. Please also ensure your child is properly secured in the stroller at all times.
4. Parents whose children are in the SPRINT categories must display their parent sticker (with corresponding bib number) to the security officers stations at the children’s pickup area in order to pick up your child.
PRIZES
1. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers of the SPRINT categories only.
2. Prize winners will be based on Net Time for the following categories:
- Speedy Orange Sprint (Boys/Girls)
- Sporty Apple Sprint (Boys/Girls)

3. All prizes not claimed within one (1) month from 22 May 2016 will be forfeited and donated to charity.
4. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash and are subjected to the Rules and Regulations and/or Terms and Conditions as determined by the Organiser.

RULES & REGULATIONS
General
- The Kids Run (“KR”) 2016 is title sponsored by Cold Storage (referred to herein as the “Title Sponsor”) and organised by Enterprise Sport Group Pte. Ltd. (“ESG”) in accordance with these Rules and Regulations (the “R&Rs”) and all the terms and conditions (the “T&Cs”) applicable to the Participants (the “Official Website”).
- By continuing to use ESG’s services, accessing any part of the website, registering for the KR, submitting information to ESG (and/ or its related entities) whether for the purpose of registering for the KR or otherwise, as well as using any features of the aforementioned website, you signify that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the attached Privacy Policy (as amended from time to time) in respect of ESG’s collection, use and disclosure of your personal information. ESG or its Subsidiaries reserves the right to use this database for activities organized by them, beyond Kids Run. Further, you hereby expressly agree and consent to ESG’s (including its related entities, as well as their respective Agents’), collection, use and disclosure of your personal information, in the manner set forth in the aforementioned Policy.
- The participant may at any time opt out from the services of KR by sending us a written notification. In such case where a participant opts out of the services, the participant will not receive any information related or part of the event.
- Completion of the online registration form confirms the Participant’s agreement to abide by these R&Rs.
- Registration for the race is only confirmed upon payment and issuance of a race identification number.
- The Participant agrees to: (i) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about the Participant contained in the registration form (the “Personal Information”); (ii) maintain the security of the Participant’s password and identification; and (iii) maintain and promptly update the Personal Information to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. ESG may contact the Participant from time to time by email. Any notice sent to the email address registered with ESG shall be deemed as received by the Participant.
- If the Participant provides any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or if ESG has grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, ESG may suspend or terminate the Participant’s registration and refuse any and all future use of the Official Website (or any parts thereof) and any services of KR.
- ESG reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these R&Rs and/or T&Cs from time to time as they deem fit. If there is ambiguity in any of these provisions, ESG shall be the authority to interpret and in so doing, ESG will take into account the interests of all the affected Participants. Any amendments to these R&Rs and/or T&Cs will be updated on the Official Website.
- The Title Sponsor and/or ESG reserve the right to cancel the KR 2016 and any of its related activities at any time without prior notice to the Participant, in which case they will make reasonable effort to inform the Participant prior to the date of the event. If the KR 2016 is cancelled, there shall be no refund of fees paid. The Owner, ESG, Event Sponsors or Co-Sponsors shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused.
- The ESG reserves the right to amend the KR 2016 race routes as they deem fit for the safety of the Participant and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the event, at any time without prior notice to the Participant. In such cases, reasonable effort will be made to inform the Participant prior to the day / date of the event. The Title Sponsor, ESG, Event Sponsors or Co-Sponsors and Contractors shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused.
Safety
- Whilst reasonable precaution will be taken by ESG to ensure the Participants’ safety, the Participant takes part in KR 2016 at his or her own risk. The Title Sponsor, ESG, Event Sponsors or Co-Sponsors will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising from training for or during participation in KR 2016. The Participant is strongly encouraged to consult his or her medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual race day.
- A Participant must retire from the race immediately if required to do so by any member of the official medical staff, race director, referee and/or security officer.
- Prior to the Event Day, parents should conduct a check on the strollers to be used for the Stroller Family Fun category. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that strollers are free from defects and checked for road-sturdiness.
- Any strollers found unsuitable will be asked to either modify before the race or be refused entry into the race. The Organiser’s decision on the safety and suitability of the stroller is final.
- Toddlers/kids must be strapped onto the stroller at all times.
- Participants must stay on the designated race route marked by cones, barricades, tapes or marshals.
Race
- The form on the reverse side of the Participant’s race bib must be fully and accurately completed. Participants must attach the assigned bib on the front of their running attire. Participants not wearing a bib will be refused entry and taken off the race route by security officers or route marshals.
- Pets, bicycles, in-line skates, prams, push carts, shoes with built-in or attached rollers and any other wheel-run objects are not allowed on the race route. The only exception to this rule involves the Stroller Family Fun and the Special Needs Family Fun categories, where prams and wheelchairs, respectively, are allowed. Only official race and medical vehicles are allowed on the race route.
- ESG reserves the right to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records (including those displaying the Participant) of the KR 2016, including roadshow, race expo, and event day, for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising.
- ESG reserves the right to limit and/or refuse race entries without assigning any reason.
- ESG reserves the right to cancel any race category without prior notice to the Participants.
- ESG will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete entry details.
- Any Participant who commences before the actual start time of the race category for which he or she is registered will be disqualified. The start time for the respective race categories can be found on the Official Website.
- Any Participant who is late for their flag off of the race category they registered for will be deemed disqualified (if they are in a competitive category). ESG reserves the right to disallow participants from entering the race should they be late for their flag off timing. The start time of the respective categories can be found on the Official Website
- ChampionChip Timing System is used for the event to provide race timing for all competitive categories.
- All competitive category participants must wear the allocated Championchip properly in order to have race timing.
- The ChampionChip is a disposable item. Participants need not return the chip to the Organiser. However, should a Participant lose the chip before the event and requires a replacement chip, a S$30.00 penalty will apply. Request for any chip replacement can be made by calling our hotline: 9001 7225 no later than Friday, 13 May 2016 where a spare bib will be provided along with the timing chip, collected at the Information booth during Race Day.
- After registration, there will be no fee refund for a Participant who does not eventually take part in the KR 2016, for any reason whatsoever.
- A Participants is strictly not allowed to transfer his or her race entry to another party or change race categories after his or her registration is confirmed. In such cases where a participant requires a change in race categories on a case to case basis at the organizer’s discretion, an admin fee of $10 will be charged.
Cancellation & Postponement
- In the event of bad weather, the Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the event, shorten the event or modify the course. However, should bad weather persist, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the event without any registration fee refund and the Organiser shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused. The event may not be rescheduled.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers of the competitive categories only.
To qualify for a prize, the participant must:
- Start in the category he/she has registered for.
- Run in the category he/she has registered for.
- Have timing recorded at every check point.
- Produce an identification card upon request.
- ESG reserves the right to replace any winner if he or she is found to be disqualified.
- All prizes not claimed within one (1) month from 22 May 2016 will be forfeited and ESG will be at liberty to redistribute or dispose of them accordingly.
- Prizes must be taken, in the forms as presented by ESG. They are not transferable or exchangeable for cash and are subjected to the R&Rs and/or T&Cs as determined by ESG.
- The “Net Time” will be considered to determine the winners for all categories.
- For prize winners or possible prize winners, appeals of disputes must be made on-site at the information booth in person, in a written format with an appeal fee of SGD50, within 30 minutes of the published results on the results notice board on-site.
- For all other Participants, appeals over disputes regarding the results must be submitted in a written format with an appeal fee of SGD50, including electronic mail within 7 days of race day. ESG reserves the right not to entertain any appeals after 1 June 2016. - In the event that the appeal is successful, the appeal fee of $50 will be refunded to the appealant.
Race Entry Pack Collection
- All Participants must collect their race entry pack (the “Race Entry Pack”) which includes the race bib, timing device (for competitive categories only), Event Tee, and other premiums at the Race Entry Pack Collection location (“REPC”) during the collection period (“Collection Period”), of which details will be stated on the Official Website. All participants must produce their e-confirmation slip and NRIC for verification and collection of their Race Entry packs.
- If Participants are unable to collect their Race Entry Pack in person, they may empower a duly authorised representative in accordance with the procedure detailed on the Official Website.
- Late collection will not be entertained and ESG shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused, due to Participants’ inability to collect their Race Entry Pack. For avoidance of doubt, ESG is not obliged to extend the collection period or to ensure that a Participant receives his or her Race Entry Pack. At all times, it is the responsibility of the Participant to collect his or her Race Entry Pack during the Collection Period. Race Entry Packs not collected during the Collection Period will be deemed to be unwanted, and ESG shall be at liberty to dispose or re-distribute them accordingly. On a case by case basis, collection will be reviewed and an administrative fee of SGD10 will be charged to Participants who collect their race entry packs after the collection date
Runner’s Entitlement
- All Participants who successfully complete the race in his or her chosen race category will be awarded a Finisher’s Medal upon the presentation of his or her race bib to the respective officials on race day.
- All Finisher’s Medals are to be collected on race day. No requests thereafter will be entertained.
- All Participants who successfully complete the race in his or her chosen race category will be awarded a Certificate of Participation. The Certificate of Participation will be available for collection on race day after the run.
- For competitive timed categories, the certificate will be mailed to the registered address within 1 month of the race day. Participants must ensure that their mailing addresses are correct and up to date prior to the event day. Participants who have keyed in the wrong addresses and eventually request for a re-print and re-mail of the certificates will need to bear the printing and mailing costs.
- Participants who did not complete the race will not be given a race certificate and finisher medal.
